Welcome to another great week in Kent, WA! Looks like the weather will finally break our way this week with sunshine and warm temperatures! Kids are 2 months away from summer break and you can feel their excitement in the air! Our martial arts classes are booming with all the energy! Kids, teens and adults are ALL putting the work in! Outstanding!

Second half of the month looks to be same as the first. That means bad weather, but exciting training! Training at Lion’s Way makes these long, dark, rainy days easier to deal with. Let’s have some fun this week and train hard!
Spring break and we are OPEN for classes! I thought it would be slow this week, but seems like people are using the time to get extra training in! Fantastic!
What a great Monday! Sure, it’s raining outside, and it’s a bit cold, but that can’t get our spirits down. Last Friday, we had a spectacular test for children and teens! Can’t say enough about how impressive they are! We posted testing results at the school. Congratulations to all!
Much of the Kent School District is on Spring Break this week. We are OPEN for all classes. Normal class times. So, if you haven’t taken off for some tropical destination, then we hope to see you in.

Once a test has started, late students may not enter. This is a LARGE test. Please be on time to help ensure it runs smoothly! Please be patient as we work through it!
Children (Test according to their current Rank)
White and Sr. White Belts — 5 pm
Yellow and Sr. Yellow Belts — 5:30 pm
Orange and Sr. Orange — 6 pm
Green, Sr. Green, Blue and Sr. Blue – 6:40 pm

Teenagers
If possible, teenagers should show up at 5 pm to help with the children’s test. If not, then please show by 6:30 pm. The teenager test will begin immediately after the children’s tests end.
All teens should show for the test whether or not they are testing. Please support your teammates and plan to be there for the entire test. Due to the size of this test, please plan for a late night.

Last day of March! Last day of the week! Next week is testing for teens and children. So, have a great weekend, because starting Monday we have to work it. Testing application will be out on Monday, be ready because it’s time! Respect!
Things are heating up as we enter another testing phase for children and teens! Next test is 2-weeks out on Friday April 7! Last week to really refine those techniques and work yourself to the peak of perfection. Remember, not everyone is ready for every test, so if you still need work, keep going! You can always make the next one!
Adults will hit some new throws and be finishing up a month long look at leg locks this week. So many good things happening in all our classes!
Things have cooled down outside, but the training is still running hot! Friday is here and we’re going to ramp it up before the weekend. Hope your week was as good as ours and your weekend will be even better! Can’t wait for classes tonight! Have a great weekend!
