Wednesday comes with a little good news and a little bad news. The BAD NEWS is the heat. It’s going to be hot and staying cool is the paramount issue as the day goes on. Please drink water and do whatever you need to stay cool.
The GOOD NEWS is that we are open today. Thanks to our new window treatments and some high powered fans, we can keep the space safe enough for technique training. High energy work will be pared down, but we can still move, stay active, and get some solid training in.
The IN BETWEEN is simple. Please make the call that is right for you and your family. High heat puts strain on everyone and if you’re feeling that, stay home. Drink water and be safe. You can always make up classes. Tomorrow is another day and it looks to be a cooler one.
Stay safe and train safe.

The heat is turning up this week, on the mats and outside. AC is on, and when necessary we will slow things down a bit.REMINDER: If you are coming to class, please do not drink fruit juices before class time. High heat plus activity plus acidic liquid can lead to upset stomachs. Water is always the best option when training.
Stay cool and train on!

Friday! What a great week of training. I hope everyone is excited for the weekend. On that note, we do have an ANNOUNCMENT — The youth black belt test scheduled for Saturday is unfortunately going to be delayed. A few of our participants have run into some last minute scheduling conflicts and/or health issues (sick), and rather than move forward without them, we’re going to reschedule the test. We’ll talk with all participants next week and look to set a new date within the next two weeks. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
Adapting is part of martial arts, and around here we always roll with it.

A little rain and thunder rolling through this Thursday. Perfect break from the heat before the temperatures start soaring again. AC is on, training is a go, and the energy is right. Let’s finish this week strong and roll straight into an exciting weekend. - 7-13-2026
Monday the 13th! I fear this day way more than the Friday version! 😄 Just kidding.Every day is a great day to kick off a great week. Summer is in full swing, with our Youth Black Belt Test happening this week, regular testing just a month away, and only about six weeks until school starts back up again.
Enjoy the summer while it lasts, and make it a great week!
