**Testing** – Testing is still scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, February 7th. Please submit your testing forms today if possible. If you cannot submit them today, please email us immediately at info@lionsway.us. We will work with you to accommodate your situation, but the earlier we know, the better.

**Adults – Open Enrollment Registration** – Registration for our next Open Enrollment period is now available. While our children’s and teens’ classes are open year-round for new students, our adult class is a private training group. We accept new students only in February, June, and October. We will not be signing up new students on Friday due to our children/teen event. If you wish to start on Monday, please sign up today. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity!

Wednesday, Feb 5th, 2025 – We are OPEN for all classes today – **Long Explanation below, please read for important information about testing!**

The Kent School District is closed today; however, we will be open. The district’s closure is due to early dismissal on Wednesdays, which prevents them from implementing a 2-hour delay, hence the cancellation. Fortunately, the Kent Road crews have done an excellent job clearing and maintaining the roads, making it safe for us to open.

Please use your best judgment. If you feel unsafe driving or if conditions in your neighborhood make it unsafe to travel, please stay home. All classes can be made up, and you will not miss anything in the long run. Your safety and well-being are our top priority.

**Testing!**

We are still planning to conduct our normal test this Friday, Feb. 7th. We are closely monitoring weather conditions and making decisions on a day-to-day basis. Testing applications may be submitted on Wednesday and Thursday. Testing times will be posted late night Thursday to allow for everyone to turn in their applications. Please be patient.

**If you are unable to attend due to weather conditions, don’t worry!** We will work with everyone to ensure testing is possible. Although make-up style tests are rare, we will make exceptions as necessary given the current conditions. If your child or teen is ready to test but you cannot make it this week, please email us at info@lionsway.us – we are here to assist you!

Tuesday, Feb. 4 – No Classes Today – As per our policy, if the Kent School District closes, we also close.

Testing for Children and Teens Testing is still scheduled for Friday as things are looking good for the rest of the week. Testing applications are now due on Wednesday or Thursday. Please come prepared to turn them in.

Reminder Missed classes can be made up next week or in the coming months. Your safety is our priority. Be safe and stay warm. We’ll see you soon!

Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 – As is our policy, when the Kent School District closes, we also close. Therefore, no classes tonight, Monday.

This is always a hard call to make, as the roads seem clear. However, the first day after ice and snow tends to be the most dangerous. We prefer to err on the side of caution and prioritize the safety of our students. This will give the awesome Kent Road crews time to properly sand and clear all roads.

Testing! – Yes, testing is still scheduled for this Friday, February 7th. Testing applications need to be turned in on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We will make some allowances if you are late because of inclement weather. Please contact us at info@lionsway.us if you need to turn things in on Thursday. Thank you!

Kids and teens are gearing up for their next belt test, scheduled for Friday, February 7th! A quick reminder: not all children are ready for every test. Remember, the belt itself is not the goal; training to be exceptional is the ultimate aim!

Even if you’re not yet ready, keep pushing forward and get a head start for the next opportunity. You can do it!

We’re now two and a half weeks out from the first belt testing of the year for teens and children.
