Welcome to another great week! We have our normal training for children, teens, and adults! Check out those classes. This weekend, Saturday Sept. 23, we’ll have our annual paintball games! Open to the adults, teens and advanced kids’ classes, this yearly event is one of our favorites! Let’s get this week going!
With everything that happened at the end of last week, going into this week has been a little hectic. Our fabulous students, friends and family have a made great work of it however. We thank everyone for the care and consideration you have expressed to us. We are eternally humbled and grateful. We have such a fantastic team here at Lion’s Way Martial Arts!
Training had been going fabulous! Now that school is in full swing kids , teens, and even some adults are finding their grove. Getting back on a set schedule and being consistent is the best thing when training martial arts. Keep up the great work!

Monday. While we are gearing up to tackle another week of great training, lets take a moment to remember this inauspicious day. A moment of remembrance for the 9-11 attacks and a moment to remember that we are all one people. Be better towards each other and build a better tomorrow.
Friday – Short take: We are OPEN tonight, however you may notice a small boarded window when you come in. As seems to be the sign of the times, Lion’s Way was broken into last night.
Longer take: Got a call early this morning (Friday) that there was damage to the school. Upon arriving, I saw that one of the small windows in front had been broken in. They had moved a trash can in order to hide their work. They also broke into the back office, obviously looking for a quick money grab. Now, we don’t keep cash at the school. I think there was $20 in one-dollar bills we use for change. Also, they took an inexpensive Chromebook that we used to sign up new students. While the damage to the window and doors will still mount to over a thousand dollars, nothing else was damaged.
We have cleaned everything up, and we are having everything fixed. The school is OPEN, SAFE and functioning. In these kinds of situation we are actually more worried about the damage a potential intruder might cause. Having to fix doors and windows, while frustrating and costly, does not stop us from doing what we love. Classes are up and running and we continue to provide the best martial arts that Kent, WA has to offer.

Wednesday! No such thing as a down day when you’re training at Lion’s Way! So much excitement, so much fun. We’re really starting the new school year off right.
Welcome to Friday, September, and a 3-day weekend! We have some exciting classes today to kick it all off and then on to the weekend. We hope you have a fabulous time and we’ll see everyone Tuesday!
Great week of training so far! It was nice to get a bit of rain, even if it made it muggy. Reminder, Monday Sept. 4th is Labor Day. We are closed for classes that day. Enjoy the 3-day weekend.

Monday! Looks like we’re do for a weather shift this week and some thunderstorms! Good thing we train inside. Now that kids are back in school, back on a normal schedule, it’s time to crank up the training! See you soon!

Back to school Wednesday! The Kent school district starts school today! Congratulations to all the children and parents entering another exciting school year. I know you’re going to rock it!
Good time to remember those school speed zones and rules about stopping around buses. We want everybody to be safe.
Also, great to see so many kids, teens and even adults returning from summer break! Classes are “kicking” and fun. It’s going to be a fantastic year!
