Friday! This month is about over but we have a lot of great things coming! We’ve been sending home fliers for this year’s Halloween party! It’s been 2 years since we’ve been able to host this event because of Covid. I’m so excited to see its return! If you haven’t gotten a flier, you soon will. You can also check our Calander of Events on the website, or events section on Facebook for the information. Our Halloween parties are epic! You won’t want to miss it.

Easy sailing this week! It’s the week after testing and nobody has missed a beat. Everyone has jumped back and the mats and gotten to work. Kids are having a little fun doing some “outside the main curriculum” training, while the teens are pushing hard to learn new things. Adult class is not to be out done and are “enjoying” working on knee on belly for the ground. 😁

What a great test we had on Friday! Really proud of everyone who stepped on the mats to challenge themselves. Testing results are posted in the school entryway, congratulations!
This week we get back to our normal training, but we also begin the slow march into the holiday season. First up is our Halloween! I’ll be sending information home later this week on the details, be on the lookout.

Testing Times for this Friday – 10-7-2022
Please remember to ARRIVE EARLY. Once a test has started, late students may not be able to enter. This is a big test, so please be patient as we work through it!
Children
White and Sr. White Belts — 5 pm
Yellow and Sr. Yellow Belts — 5:30 pm
Orange, Sr. Orange, Green, Sr, Green and Blue — 6 pm

Teenagers
If possible, teenagers should show up at 5 pm to help with the children’s test. If not, then please show by 6:45 pm. The teenager test will begin immediately after the children’s tests end.
All teens should show for the test whether they are testing or not. Please support your teammates and plan to be there for the entire test. Due to the size of this test, please plan for a late night.

Testing is this Friday for children and teens! Testing application will be sent home starting today (Monday). REMINDER: All testing applications need to be in by Wednesday, please DO NOT BE LATE! Testing times for each belt level will be posted by Thursday, late afternoon.

People are really pushing this week. Awesome to see such hard work on the mats. Testing next week for kids and teens! Keep pushing, even if you don’t make this test, it’s always nice to be ahead of the next one! Remember every improvement, no matter how small, is a step forward.
Welcome to another fun week of training! For children and teens, we are 2 weeks out from testing. Time to start making those challenging decisions on whether you’re ready to go or going to wait for the next one. No matter your choice, remember it’s the journey not the destination. Keep working hard and enjoying the experience!
Adults are continuing their review of some throwing fundamentals and groundwork. For new students this is a great time to get in on the ground flow or what you need. For long time students this is the foundation of your training and it’s always good to review and put a shine on it.

Friday! While there are still troubling things happening in the world, it’s great to know that there are still great things too. The people that train at Lion’s Way Martial Arts are truly one of them. Children, teens and adults, all working together to improve not only themselves, but each of their teammates. Such a great week! Enjoy the weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone next week!
