We had a fantastic Halloween party this past Friday! Thank you all for coming. I know we missed a lot of people when taking pictures this year. Our group picture turned into a never ending “Hey we’re done!” to “wait someone else showed up!”. I’m not sure how many times we did that, but I hope everyone found it as humorous as I did. Even with that, we missed people. Hopefully next year will be better. What photos we have can be found on our Facebook page. Please enjoy!

Mid-week and things are rocking. Classes are going great and it’s always heartening to see so many great people putting the work in! Keep it going! Lots happening this week. Let’s break it down with adults, children, and teens:

Adults: Last 2 days to register for our Open Enrollment! While our children and teens classes are open year round for new students, our adult class is a private training group. We only accept new students in February, June and October. Pre-registration is required before starting and once closed you’ll have to wait till 2025 to try again! We are closing registration on the 24th, yes a day early, so get in if you want to get going! If you need more detailed information / pricing, please contact us at

Children: Our annual Halloween party is this Friday! Starting at 5 pm. Open to all students, friends, and family! Kids may wear their costumes or simply come as a “lion’s way student”. Games, tricks and treats will be had!

Saturday: We have a children’s black belt test! Starting at 1 pm. If any teenagers or advanced kid students are available, we ask that you come to support and encourage this extraordinary step! We hope to see you there!

As election season approaches, Lion’s Way Martial Arts would like to remind everyone that we remain non-political. Once a test has started, late students may not enter. We have a LARGE number of people testing. Please be on time to help ensure it runs smoothly! Please be patient as we work through it! While we do our best to make test run efficiently, but we still have to work through the requirements. Large tests like this often lead to late nights, especially for the teens.

Children (Test according to their current rank / belt color)

White and Sr. White Belts — 5 pm

Yellow, Sr. Yellow, Orange, and Sr. Orange Belts — 5:25 pm

Green and Sr. Green Belts – 5:55 pm

Blue, Purple and Sr. Purple belts — 6:35 pm

Sr. Brown Belts — 7:05 pm

Teenagers

If possible, teenagers should show up at 5 pm to help with the children’s test. If not, then please show by 6:30 pm. The teenager test will begin immediately after the children’s tests end. Again, Teens please show no later than 6:30pm!

All teens should show for the test whether or not they are testing. Please support your teammates and plan to be there for the entire test.

Reminder: Testing Applications Due Today

This is a reminder that testing applications for teens and children are due today, Wednesday. You may submit the applications at any time before 9 PM tonight. Testing is this Friday!

Testing schedules will be available online and at the school by late afternoon tomorrow (Thursday). Please check back for updates. This test is typically larger, and some test times may be scheduled later. Please plan for a longer evening and be patient.
