Adults – Registration for our next Open Enrollment period is now available. While our children and teens classes are open year round for new students, our adult class is a private training group. We only accept new students in February, June and October. So now is the time! Classes started on February 3rd and will run until February 28th. Once a test has started, late students may not enter. While the first test of the year is traditionally smaller, we still aim to be efficient. Please be on time to help ensure it runs smoothly! Please be patient as we work through it!

Children (Test according to their current rank / belt color)

Yellow, Sr. Yellow, Green and Sr. Green — 5 pm

Blue, Sr. Purple and Brown — 5:30 pm

Teenagers

If possible, teenagers should show up at 5 pm to help with the children’s test. If not, then please show by 6:10 pm. The teenager test will begin immediately after the children’s tests end. Again, Teens please show no later than 6:10pm!

All teens should show for the test whether or not they are testing. Please support your teammates and plan to be there for the entire test.

**Thursday – We Are Open** – It looks like the weather is finally cooperating with us, instead of against us.

**Testing** – Testing is still scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, February 7th. Please submit your testing forms today if possible. If you cannot submit them today, please email us immediately at . We will work with you to accommodate your situation, but the earlier we know, the better.

**Adults – Open Enrollment Registration** – Registration for our next Open Enrollment period is now available. While our children’s and teens’ classes are open year-round for new students, our adult class is a private training group. We accept new students only in February, June, and October. Wednesday, Feb 5th, 2025 – We are OPEN for all classes today – **Long Explanation below, please read for important information about testing!**

The Kent School District is closed today; however, we will be open. The district’s closure is due to early dismissal on Wednesdays, which prevents them from implementing a 2-hour delay, hence the cancellation. Fortunately, the Kent Road crews have done an excellent job clearing and maintaining the roads, making it safe for us to open.

Please use your best judgment. If you feel unsafe driving or if conditions in your neighborhood make it unsafe to travel, please stay home. All classes can be made up, and you will not miss anything in the long run. Your safety and well-being are our top priority.

**Testing!**

We are still planning to conduct our normal test this Friday, Feb. 7th. We are closely monitoring weather conditions and making decisions on a day-to-day basis. Testing applications may be submitted on Wednesday and Thursday. Testing times will be posted late night Thursday to allow for everyone to turn in their applications. Please be patient.

**If you are unable to attend due to weather conditions, don’t worry!** We will work with everyone to ensure testing is possible. Although make-up style tests are rare, we will make exceptions as necessary given the current conditions. Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 – As is our policy, when the Kent School District closes, we also close. Therefore, no classes tonight, Monday.

This is always a hard call to make, as the roads seem clear. However, the first day after ice and snow tends to be the most dangerous. We prefer to err on the side of caution and prioritize the safety of our students. This will give the awesome Kent Road crews time to properly sand and clear all roads.

Testing! – Yes, testing is still scheduled for this Friday, February 7th. Testing applications need to be turned in on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
