Friday! – Last day of classes for children in 2024! There will be no open mat for teens and adults tonight. We are on Winter Break through Jan 1, 2025!

High winds are blowing through, and a few places are without power. Hopefully, you’re staying cozy and unaffected. Good news: We are OPEN and ready to rock!

Last Monday for the Year!
However, before we get to that, we had a fabulous time on Friday with our black belt ceremony and end of the year picture. Avery joins a powerful group of kids, who grew up in the children’s class and are now working in the teen class. These teens have 8 to 12 years’ experience now! Who says kids aren’t dedicated any more? We are proud to say that our students embody true commitment and excellence.
Had a great time with the end of the year picture! Thank you all who could make it. I know many we’re on vacation or out sick, but we are always grateful for your time! Plan early now for next year, would love to hit 50% or even 100% or the student body. Thank you all!
This week: Belts are in! We will hand out new rank during classes starting today! Then it’s time to get what training in we can before Winter Break! Such an exceptional year, so crazy that’s coming to an end.
Friday the 13th! No bad luck here; it’s Picture Day and Black Belt Ceremony!
Event details:
We will begin with the black belt ceremony, followed by our end-of-year group picture. It should be a smooth and enjoyable evening.
Health Notice:
I’ve received several messages from individuals who are not feeling well, asking if they should still attend. We kindly request that you stay home to ensure we do not spread illness. While we would love to have everyone present for the photo, the health and safety of our community are paramount.
Wednesday Update: Training is going great this week. It’s fantastic seeing so many students pushing as the year comes to a close.
REMINDER – This FRIDAY
All students’ picture day and black belt ceremony starts at 5 pm. All classes should attend: Children Beginners, Children Intermediate, Children Advanced, Teens, and Adults! We will finish no later than 6 pm. Let’s come together for one final photo moment of 2024!
Monday – This last Friday we had a spectacular finial test of 2024! Please congratulate all the children and teens on their great performance. Testing results are posted in the entryway.
Two more weeks and then we hit winter break. I’ll be sending home a flyer with the information, or you can check our event calendar on our website. We’ll post a direct link in the comments section, sorry Facebook and Instagram are currently marking posts with external links as spam. Reminder that all classes during the holiday can be made up at anytime. Hit some early classes now, or wait till summer! It’s up to you.
Looking forward to finishing out the year, but even more excited for how fantastic 2025 is going to be! Let’s get training!

Once a test has started, late students may not enter. We have a LARGE number of people testing. Please be on time to help ensure it runs smoothly! Please be patient as we work through it! While we do our best to make test run efficiently, but we still have to work through the requirements. Large tests like this often lead to late nights, especially for the teens.
Children (Test according to their current rank / belt color)
White, Sr. White Belts, Yellow and Sr. Yellow — 5 pm
Orange, Sr. Orange, and Sr. Green Belts — 5:25 pm
Blue, Sr. Blue, Sr. Purple and Sr. Brown belts — 5:55 pm

Teenagers
If possible, teenagers should show up at 5 pm to help with the children’s test. If not, then please show by 6:30 pm. The teenager test will begin immediately after the children’s tests end. Again, Teens please show no later than 6:30pm!
All teens should show for the test whether or not they are testing. Please support your teammates and plan to be there for the entire test.

Testing: This Friday is testing for children and teens. All testing application need to be turned in by Wednesday. We will hand out application starting today during class time. Please check back Thursday for testing times.
