Something Positive!

We start this Monday heading into the holiday season with something a little different. Usually we stick to topics relating to Lion’s Way and motivating people to train. We are making a small exception today for a personal project from our owner / head coach Skip Scherer.

Today we are proud to announce the launch of Skip’s first book Warship Ares! As a hobby, Skip has been writing for many years, this release marks his first major work! A scifi /adventure / action story that reads like a blockbuster movie! This is just the start of an exciting new series.

Available in paperback and kindle editions (also on Kindle Unlimited!) We will have copies at the school, but are still waiting on delivery. Until then you can check it out on Amazon.

Even in this crazy year, you can accomplish positive things if you just keep trying!

Congratulations!

Friday!

Every day take a moment and remember the good things in life. Even just one minute focusing on the positive can make dealing with stress just a little easier. Each little step forward, be it in attitude or physical health, is a step towards a goal. Keep moving forward!

Next week we enter Thanksgiving! Remember to be thankful and find the good things in life. Lion’s Way Martial Arts wishes you the best as we enter this holiday season.

Keep going!

Keep training! As stress enters our lives, one thing we have learned as martial artist is that training makes things better. Not only does it improve your physical well being, but it strengthens your mental well being too!

We are here for you. We have training options available and as always are working hard to make sure you can get the most you can out of Lion’s Way Martial Arts. It’s been a tough year, but we can get through it together.

Stay strong, it will get better.

Friday the 13th – 2020!

Welcome to Friday the 13th 2020! While we are not normally superstitious here at Lion’s Way, this being 2020, we’re at the very least staying aware. Haha.

Hope nothing but great things are happening to you today. Our classes are running and, if you’re in training, we’ll make it a great day for you same as always.

Have a great, if cold, weekend!

Veterans Day!

Veterans Day is a good time to remember that our freedom isn’t guaranteed. It’s protected by the men and women in our Armed Services. To those who secure our way of life… thank you!

We are always open on Veterans Day in honor of all the hard work and dedication our Veterans have shown. We’ll see you on the mats!

11-9-2020

November is in full swing! Rain and cold weather are pressing in on us as we head into the Holidays. We are updating our check in policies going to the cold winter months. You’ll be seeing a new set up to our entry way as we start to adapt it to make health check in’s and screening easier to do. We know change can be confusing at times, but be patient as it’s all to make sure we have the safest, cleanest and healthiest training environment around.

Veterans Day is this week! We are OPEN for all classes on Veterans Day. They worked hard for our country and we can think of no better way to celebrate that then by trying to train just as hard. Let’s have a fantastic week!

November!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Halloween is over and a new time change is upon us! This week also puts the elections into full swing. A busy way to enter the lasts months of an already turbulent 2020. Stay positive, respect one another and we will make it through it all!

Training kicks of as normal this month! Kids and teens will be working toward the last test of the year, which happens at the beginning of Dec! We also have a kids Black Belt Testing happening then! That will make for a great finish to this year and hopefully kick thing into gear for the next one!

Adults will continue is hammer away at throws and ground positions! Things tend to slow a little bit in the adult class heading into years’ end. Don’t let the hecticness of life make you miss the training that helps you deal with it!

See you on the mats!

Almost Halloween!

Only a couple more days till Halloween! We are running classes on normal times this week. However on Thursday and Friday we will take some time to enjoy the holiday and play a few extra game with the students. We know many Halloween parties and events have been canceled this year, our own big party included, but we want to give the kids as much to celebrate as we can!

Stay safe this Halloween. Remember to mask up and if you get any treats from unknown houses, please be sure to put it aside for a week to avoid any accidental spreading!

Happy Halloween!
