Working our way through the week! Crazy to think we are a little over a month until school starts again in the Kent School district! Summer is flying past. Keep up the fantastic work with summer training.

Reminder next week is testing for kids and teens!

Monday! We are two weeks out from the next belt testing on Friday Aug 2! This summer seems to fly past. I will send home some information starting today on testing, reminder that testing application are not out until the week of testing. This test is traditionally one of the smallest tests, since summer and vacations are in full swing. It’s okay if you are not ready. We train to be great at what we do, not to simply get the next belt.

Weather is much more agreeable this week. Still some pretty sunshine in the mix, enjoy!

7-18-2024

Friday! Nice day today, hot one on Saturday and then things look like returning to more normal temperatures by Monday! Hope everyone has stayed cool through this heat stretch.

Classes as normal tonight. Please note our AC is having “issues” so it may be a little warmer than usual. While we are getting it fixed, please make sure you are staying hydrated. We’ll slow training down tonight and pick it up again on Monday.

Teen and Adults, reminder: Our Friday open mat starts at 6 pm! If no one shows we will close early so we can all enjoy our weekend!

7-16-2024

Tuesday – Looks like today is going to be the hottest day of the week! Thankfully, here in Kent, we will top the charts at 88 degrees! So, the AC is running. Please have kids drink water throughout the day. Stay cool! After today, things will slowly cool off a bit, with temps getting back down to high 70s and low 80s.

7-15-2024

Half way through July and that sunshine is staying with us! I guess we have a good chance of breaking a record in the Seattle area for most 80 degree days in a row. With that comes a rise in temperatures. Tuesday is going to be hitting close to 90 degrees again. If we break that mark, please check our website or social media to verify if we will be open.

Reminder to have kids drink water before class and to please avoid juices high in acidic acid, like orange juice! Thank you and now let’s get this week started!
