Once a test has started, late students may not enter. We have a good number of people testing. Please be on time to help ensure it runs smoothly! Please be patient as we work through it! First test of the year is typically a small one, and this year is no different. Please check your times carefully!

Children (Test according to their current Rank)

White, Sr. White and Sr. Yellow belts — 5 pm

Orange and Sr. Orange belts — 5:30 pm

Blue, Purple and Sr. Purple — 6:10 pm

Teenagers

If possible, teenagers should show up at 5 pm to help with the children’s test. If not, then please show by 6:00 pm. The teenager test will begin immediately after the children’s tests end. Again, Teens please show no later than 6:00 pm!

All teens should show for the test whether or not they are testing. Please support your teammates and plan to be there for the entire test.

Sign ups for our next adult sessions have begun. While our children and teens classes are open year round for new students, our adult class is a closed training group. We only accept new students in February, June and October. So now is the time, classes start on February 5th.

Friday, and everything is coming down in about two weeks!

For Children and Teens, we are two weeks out from the first test of 2024! This is a hard test to get ready for, coming off the holidays, so students may not be ready. No problem, keep training and prepare for the next one. If you are ready, then it’s time to polish those skills and prepare to shine!

For Adults, we are just shy of the two-week mark for the beginning of our next open enrollment. While our children and teen classes are open year round for new students, our adult class operates as a closed training group. That means we only have open enrollment three times a year! Hope everyone is warm, has power and is read to train. Looks like the weather is returning to normal next couple days and this cold snap is over. Anyone else ready for Summer yet? 😁

Wednesday Jan 17. – As is our policy, if the Kent School District cancels class, we are also closed.

It’s a hard call to make sometimes, but we will always favor caution and the wellbeing of everyone. Be safe, be warm and hopefully we’ll see you tomorrow.
