Adults first: Our next Open Enrollment period is here for our SAMBO class. If you want to start on Monday, you will need to be registered by the end of our day today. After that, you can still sign up for a trial until Oct 25th, if we have open spots available. Don’t wait, this is a fabulous opportunity! Reminder, while our children and teens classes are open year round for new students, our adult class is a private training group. We only accept new students in February, June and October. So now is the time!

Children and Teens: Next week is testing! If you are ready for your next belt test, you will need to turn in a testing application on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday next week! Applications will be available at the school starting on Monday. Time to push that progress up a notch!

Monday! We had a fantastic time this past weekend playing paintball! This annual event is one of our favorite of the year! Make your plans and join us next year!

Kicking training up this week. This is the Kent School District’s first full week of school! So, we are going to push that focus, burn off some energy and give kids the will to succeed this year. I hope you will join us!

Friday Update: We are OPEN for classes today!

With temperatures expected to be at or stay below 90 degrees, we will proceed with classes as scheduled. The AC is on, and we will adjust the pace of activities to accommodate the heat.

Important Reminders:

• Ensure your child stays hydrated throughout the day.
• Avoid having them drink a large glass of water right before class to prevent upset stomachs.
• Please skip fruit juices as they can cause stomach issues when combined with heat and physical activity.

Stay cool and see you in class!

SATURDAY – For those playing paintball. Reminder to be at the field by 9 am. If you are car pooling meet at the school by 8 am. It’s going to be a beautiful day to sling some paint!

Due to expected temperatures of 92-94°F in the Kent, WA area this afternoon, we are canceling all classes today. Although we have air conditioning, the combination of lights and physical activity can quickly raise indoor temperatures, making it unsafe to train when it’s over 90°F.

We regret canceling classes, but your well-being is our top priority. You can always make up for missed classes!

Tomorrow, Friday, looks more promising with temperatures expected to stay at or below 90°F. Please check back tomorrow for updates. Till then stay cool and drink that water!
